7-year-old Florida angler catches the biggest bass in a Bass Fishing Kids tournament

Bass Fishing Kids tournament director Gary Waingrow holds the 5.38-pound bass caught by 7-year-old Brayson Moldt, the biggest fish in Saturday’s tournament at Tradewinds Park in Coconut Creek.

Brayson Moldt caught one bass Saturday in the Bass Fishing Kids tournament at Tradewinds Park and it was the only bass he needed.

The 7-year-old from Coral Springs landed a 5.38-pounder fishing from the shore of the Broward County park in Coconut Creek.

Not only did it give him a small fry division victory, that fish was also bigger than the heaviest total weights caught in the junior division.
